Supporting Immigration Specialist

DiRaimondo & Schroeder LLP (“D&S”) is looking for a Supporting Immigration Specialist (paralegal-level position) to join our growing team. We are seeking candidates who are driven, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to handle a diverse caseload and to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business immigration law, the ability to work independently and autonomously, and the drive to provide thoughtful, professional immigration support to D&S attorneys, case managers, and clients. We are seeking individuals who take pride in their work, understand the importance of attention to detail, and have a desire to grow in the position and with the Firm. The ideal candidate values being part of a collaborative, tight-knit team and is interested in being a key player at a firm where hard work and dedication are rewarded.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the preparation (drafting and assembling) and filing of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications

  • Monitoring case processing before and after filing, including the preparation of visa approval packages

  • Monitoring and meeting internal and external deadlines on assigned cases and proactively communicating case progress to supervisors

  • Keeping client records and files organized and updated

  • Maintaining client databases and reports with respect to approval and validity dates of visa petitions, assisting with case milestone and expiration monitoring

Requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 1-3 years of experience as a business immigration paralegal

  • Experience must include preparation of H-1B, L-1, TN, and O-1 nonimmigrant visas as well as PERM and employment-based green cards, (EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to achieve a high level of productivity with accuracy and consistency

  • Flexibility and initiative regarding case assignments

  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage competing deadlines

  • Work schedule flexibility

  • Experience working with Google docs and in Google drive a plus
