Before joining D&S, Michaela practiced at a boutique immigration law firm in New York City, where she managed a wide range of visa and green card petitions. She developed particular expertise in E-2 investor visas, successfully preparing applications for U.S. consular processing worldwide as well as filings with USCIS.

While at Nova, she was a member of the Nova Law Review and the Moot Court Society. Her team placed in the Top 5 at the prestigious Jessup International Moot Court Competition (U.S. Northeastern Rounds), and she has continued her involvement by serving as a judge at the competition in New York.
